With this crochet pattern, you can create a decorative fan shell that will become a real eye-catcher on your balcony, in the garden, or inside your home. The shell consists of a strut to which several crocheted strips are attached in an oval shell shape and decorated with beads. It can even spin in the wind, acting like a decorative wind chime. The pattern is perfect for using up leftovers, as you can use yarns of any weight. I will show you step-by-step how to easily adjust the size to fit your yarn and your preferences. Required materials
- 7x 10 g, seven different colors of cotton
or 1 x MeinGarn Multi Cotton Swirl 250 g, enough for two large shells
- crochet hook size 2.5 or 4 mm
- scissors, sewing needle
- cable ties of any length possible
- 3 mm thick wire or shish kebab skewer
- glue / hot glue
- for decoration:
beads, mother-of-pearl discs, and anything else you would like to use for decorating
