Cotton or chenille yarn?
You can use a wide variety of yarn for your spider.
With cotton yarn, the spider becomes nice and sturdy. The legs can still be positioned flexibly, and you can keep setting your spider up in different ways.
If you prefer it soft and cuddly, you can also use chenille yarn. This gives the spider a completely different look and makes it nice and fluffy.

📏 How big will the spider be?
The finished spider will be approximately 7–8 cm tall – not including the legs.
The size may vary slightly depending on different yarns and crochet hook sizes.

🧵 What you need to crochet it
For the spider, you will need:
- Cotton yarn, for example Scheepjes Catona
- approx. 25 g for the body
- approx. 20 g for the legs
- a bit of white yarn for the eyes
- yarn for the bow and hair
- alternatively, chenille yarn, for example Scheepjes Little Darling
- 2.0 or 2.5 mm crochet hook
- stuffing material
- safety eyes or half beads, approx. 8–10 mm
- sewing needle and scissors
- black yarn or thread for the contours
You can, of course, design your spider entirely according to your own ideas. Whether colorful, pastel, classic black, or truly crazy – there are no limits to your imagination.
