CROCHET PINWHEEL – colorful decor from yarn scraps!

CROCHET PINWHEEL – colorful decor from yarn scraps!

Looking to crochet something colorful for your garden, balcony, or vase? Then why not try a crocheted pinwheel! 🌸🧶

The pinwheel is a great little crochet project and also a fantastic way to use up your yarn scraps. You can combine different colors and design your pinwheel exactly to your taste.

In my guide, I show you two different variations that you can try out with various colors and yarns. The size is also very easy to adjust.

Perfect for yarn scraps

For this project, you can wonderfully use cotton yarn that you might have left over from other crochet projects.

Especially with the pinwheels, it is really fun to experiment with different colors. You can crochet them in multi-colors or choose a color family.

You can use the finished pinwheel, for example, as a flower stake for the garden, as decoration for the balcony, or as a colorful eye-catcher in a vase. Of course, it also makes a wonderful little homemade gift. 🎁

⚠️ A small note on spinning

Since the pinwheel is crocheted entirely from yarn and the individual parts are firmly attached to each other, it is a bit heavier than a classic plastic pinwheel.

It can spin in the wind, but not as easily or quickly as a purchased plastic pinwheel.

Depending on the wind strength and mounting, the pinwheel may move with varying degrees of intensity.
