🧶 From box chaos to creative clothes rail

Do you know the feeling? You have so many favorite handmade items, but they disappear into boxes somewhere and are completely forgotten. That’s exactly how it was for me. All my crocheted and knitted tops were neatly tucked away… but also completely out of sight.

That’s over now!

🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶

The whole thing in the video

In my video, I take you through the entire process:

  • from unpacking the boxes
  • to sorting them
  • all the way to the final setup

You can see exactly how I organized everything—and maybe you’ll feel inspired to tackle your own chaos too 😄

🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶

Why I’m reorganizing my handmade pieces

I poured so much time, love, and creativity into every single piece, and then they just sit there? It felt wrong somehow.

That’s why I wanted to:

  • get a better overview again
  • make my works visible
  • find new outfit inspiration
  • and, honestly: celebrate myself a bit for everything I’ve created 😄

🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶

The solution: clothing rack & hangers

I ordered a simple clothing rack from jeff and got matching hangers, and it was a real game changer.

Suddenly I had:

  • all my tops at a glance
  • direct access to my favorite pieces
  • and a really beautiful, creative setup in my room

The best part: It almost feels like having my own little handmade wardrobe.

Showcasing my handmade tops properly

All my tops are self-crocheted or knitted—and that’s exactly what I finally wanted to show off!

When hanging them up, I made sure to:

  • hang similar colors together
  • mix different styles (airy, oversized, fitted)
  • and drape everything so it just looks good

This makes the clothing rack not only practical but also truly decorative.

Don’t forget the socks!

Of course, my knitted and crocheted socks got their own spot too.

Instead of hiding them any longer:

  • I folded them and placed them visibly
  • sometimes hung them over hangers or placed them in baskets nearby

It makes a huge difference, especially with colorful or patterned socks!

🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶

My conclusion

I really didn't think such a small change would make such a big difference. All my works are finally visible now, and I’ve regained the motivation to crochet and knit new pieces.

Sometimes you really just need a simple idea to bring a fresh breeze into things.
